Lemon Juice, Maple Syrup - Ingredients of Master Cleanse

By Linda Riley

The master cleanse diet is a very cost effective diet because it does not require you to have any special kind of ingredients to make it work. The main ingredients for the master cleanse are pure water, grade B Organic maple syrup, organic Cayenne pepper, organic lemons and sea salts. To increase its effectiveness as a cleanser, you can use secondary ingredients such as herbal laxative tea, psyllium husk, wheat grass, natural decaffeinated herbal tea and hoodia extract.

In the ingredient list for master cleanse diet, the most important one is actually the pure filtered water. Most people neglected the pure filtered water and use instead normal water. You must not use any other water. Reason being other water contains chlorine and bacteria. And chlorine itself is a poison and consuming chlorine water is defeating the purpose of the master cleanse diet.

The other ingredients like lemon juice must also be from organic and natural lemon juice and not processed lemon juice which is filled with sugar. The same goes for the maple syrup used in the master cleanse. The syrup must also be natural organic grade B maple syrup. Anything else is unsuitable as it is filled with added sugar. The cayenne pepper is usually in powdered form but you can also use the liquid type. Lastly as for the salt used, it must be sea salt and again must not be iodized type. The purpose of the salt is to be used as a laxative.

Like I mentioned before, to boost the effectiveness of the master cleanse diet, other ingredients can be added. If you don't really like the taste of sea salt, another alternative is the laxative tea. Both works just as well. Recommended laxative tea to consume are "Laxative Tea" and "Smooth Move tea". Another form of laxative is psyllium husk and it is rich in fiber which can be effective in curbing your hunger pangs. Another important ingredient used in master cleanse is the use of wheat grass. Wheat grass is often nicknamed super food as it acts as a strong anti-oxidant and rich in vitamins and minerals. Most importantly, it is included in the master cleanse because it contains protein.

As for the herbal tea, its usage in the master cleanse is to break the boredom of drinking lemonade all the time. As the master cleanse is to help you reduce weight and remove toxins, there is nothing much which you can add into the master cleanse. As for the hoodia, its main function is to help you curb your hunger pangs. By taking hoodia, you help to avoid the distractions of feeling hungry and may cause you to abandon the master cleanse regime. Therefore it is good to take the hoodia together with the master cleanse for the successful completion of the cleansing program. - 15995
