Natural Colon Cleanse -With Foods

Many who are interested in maintaining a healthy colon do more than having colon hydrotherapy sessions they also eat foods that are cleansing to the colon. There are many tasty and delicious foods that act like brooms in the intestine, and consumed in conjunction can have a great effect.

Fasting With Natural Juices. A very effective way of cleaning the colon with foods is to have none.No food will assist the body to purge itself of accumulated feces in the colon. Fasting with juices will supply all the nutrients the body needs without adding anything to the colon.A juice fast will also help to detoxify and support other organs in your body besides the colon. Green Leafy Vegetables. Some of the most beneficial green vegetables for the colon are: Broccoli, Spinach and Kale. They can be cooked as a side dish, or made into a salad. Be sure to locate a number of recipes in order to make these healthy vegetables into sumptuous, flavorful dishes if they are not already your favorites.

Fruit. Fruits are some of the best, and most delicious foods to keep the colon clean. The various types of fibers do not only work as a broom, but do also help with constipation and to promote regular bathroom habits.

Whole Grains. Grains still containing their hull, and thus the fiber content, are another source of natural colon cleansers. Look for breads with whole grains, and pasta with whole grains.

Besides adding foods beneficial to your colon, avoiding some less than healthy foods is also part of the program. Some foods to avoid are fried foods, fast foods, french fries and hamburgers. Use healthy oils in your cooking, such as canola oil and olive oil.

High calorie foods devoid of nutrients such as ice cream, cakes, cookies and candy should be avoided as well. By avoiding some unhealthy foods, adding some healthy foods, and getting regular exercise you'll come along way in keeping your colon clean. - 15995
