Look Fashionable At The Beach

By Randy James

Once spring or summer approaches, just about everyone will make a trip to the beach for a fun filled time. There are so many activities that can be enjoyed on the beach, including the timeless ones like swimming, sand castle building, and high risk events like surfing and wakeboarding. It is a location that can accommodate anyone and everyone.

You will need to bring along some essentials to partake in these activities. This includes beach wear like swim suits, trunks, goggles, surf boards and many more. They are all part of the experience and help to protect your body from the elements at the same time.

An attire that is increasingly being worn by many is the board short. Its popularity has gone beyond that of surfers and on the beach. You can now spot a boardie being worn by many people in shopping malls or out on the streets. It has gone on to become a mainstream fashion piece for people of all ages and sexes.

The board short has become a fashion icon and has been adopted as a regular product by many well known brands. Some of these include Billabong, Roxy and Hurley. They have promoted and made the surf short a mainstay in modern popular fashion.

There are now swimsuits for women that are more of a fashion item than just for a dip in the pool. Ladies look out for the latest releases from famous designers. They do everything within their power to not only fit into these daring bikinis or one pieces, but to look good at the same time.

Wearing sunglasses or visors has also become part of the get-up on the sandy coasts. While some might be doing it for practical reasons, others want to be seen as part of the 'in' crowd with a pair of cool shades. It is no longer unheard of for someone to spend a few hundred dollars on a pair of Ray Ban or Oakley shades.

A pair of sandals is also viewed as necessary since it helps to protect the feet from any foreign objects. Fashion followers have put a new spin on beach footwear though, choosing colorful designs from diverse brands such as Crocs and Rip Curl. They help give new meaning to the term 'total fashion'.

Going to the beach just to have fun is no longer the only objective. Nowadays, dressing up for it is seen as part of the fun. It might appear frivolous and unnecessary, but why not join the rest and make the most of a day out partying and exercising by the waves and long stretches of sand? - 15995
