Useful Tips to Lose Weight Before Your Wedding

By Ricardo d Argence

Every bride wants to look her best for her big day and nothing can boost her self-confidence like shaving off a few pounds to make that dress fit even better. So, if this is you, then here are few tips to help you achieve your goal.

First of all, you can't expect to get to your desired weight in just week or two. Just as planning the wedding itself takes time, so does preparing your body. Fast weight loss is usually not healthy weight loss and the pounds usually return within a few weeks.

Any so-called magic pills which purport to help you get rid of twenty pounds in just one week are costly, unrealistic, and might even hurt you. Weight loss is like marriage; it's a life-time commitment. The last thing you want after losing weight is to gain it back quickly just a few months later. Look to making changes in your diet and lifestyle not just temporary changes, the longterm ones are important.

Trying to plan a wedding can be stressful, once you add in being hungry most of the time, negative results may occur. Therefore, it is important not to deprive yourself of food. Starving yourself doesn't work, you become irritated, hungry and your metabolism will drop.

Planning a wedding requires lots of energy, so don't deny your body the fuel that it really needs. It can be hard to have regular mealtimes when you're busy, but avoid snacking on the run. Eating meals at regular intervals is much healthier for you and will keep you energized.

If you're a soda drinker, try drinking water instead. You should be drinking 8 glasses of water a day. This will help you be less hungry so that your calorie intake at meals will be smaller.

Cut down on your sugar and salt intake. This can be especially hard if you're a junk food addict. Salt can cause bloating and also makes it harder for the body to get rid of harmful toxins. Replace these foods with high fiber, low fat items. Whole grains, low-fat dairy products, lean protein, and skinless poultry can make a huge difference in your calorie intake and subsequent weight loss.

You don't have to deprive yourself all the time. Choose one day per week that you can have some of your favorite foods. Hopefully, this will boost your metabolism, and you will lose even more weight the next day when you return to your normal eating habits.

You may be busy planning a wedding, but that doesn't mean you still can't find time to exercise. Even if you don't have time to get to the gym regularly, there are other ways you can get exercise every day. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. So, your destination is only several blocks? Walk, don't drive. These solutions may take a little more of your time, but the end results are worth it. - 15995
