Ready for the white tea revolution?

By Jack Robbins

White and green tea, both come from China and are plucked from the same Camilla sinensis tree that is ever prominent there. Whilst green tea has been enjoying fame over the past decade, a new revolution in weight loss is beckoning for the new kid on the block, White tea.

Both teas are different due to the time that their leaf is plucked from the plant. White tea leaf is plucked when the plant is only a small bud, while the green tea leaf is plucked at a much later time after the bud has grown into an almost full leaf. This leads to a difference in the taste and color of both of them.

White tea is soon going to be the talk of all weight loss enthusiasts. research has started showing that in many aspects white tea is much more effective than green tea, weight loss in particular.

White tea contains three times more antioxidants than green tea. Antioxidants have a lot of benefits particularly to people trying to lose weight. Antioxidants increase the metabolism rate which in turn lets you lose weight almost without effort. Antioxidants also help kill free radicals in the skin which are responsible for aging.

White tea tastes simply awesome! This alone is responsible for people keeping in line with a herbal tea diet, they simply find it hard to resist. The Chinese people love the taste so much that it was historically treated as a delicacy reserved only for the rich. Weight loss enthusiasts will in fact find it hard to have a diet that does not contain white tea.

The caffeine levels in white tea are much less compared to green tea. Now, you can enjoy a refreshing drink without having to worry about any side effects of caffeine to your body.

White tea has been seen to be more effective against cancer as compared to green tea. This is again due to the higher concentration of antioxidants present in it which can inhibit cancer cells and prevent formation of new ones.

White tea is soon going to be ever popular due to its far more valued benefits and great taste as compared to green tea. - 15995
