How To Choose A Suit Color

By Victor Santerino

The suit color is almost always never chosen the way it is meant to be chosen. Men will choose a color either at random or because they like the color they are looking at. This strategy is completely wrong. A man should choose a suit that lines up well with the event they are attending, their body type, and the shade of their skin.

This article was crafted to give men a better idea of what color they should wear. Areas evaluated are skin hues, special occasions, and body frames. The colors we will talk about are brown, gray, tan, blue, and black.

Black suits are fantastic for sympathetic events such as funerals. However, they are also good for formal occasions and even the office. Larger body types benefit most from this color as it makes them appear a bit more slender than they really are. This suit will look best on brown skin rather than black or white but works well with all.

Blue suits are spectacular for interviews and office settings. They look best on slim to medium sized men with a light skin color. Slender body types with fair skin should seriously consider purchasing this color suit.

Wearing a brown suit is useful when you want to separate yourself from the majority without appearing flashy. You can wear this color to the office and to most formal occasions. Men with darker skin look best in this color. Small to large body types can all wear this color.

Gray suits are pivotal colors that should be a part of all men's wardrobes. All skin colors and builds look good in this color. However, the optimum body type for a gray suit is somewhere between lean and medium sized.

Wearing a tan suit in a colder climate is a bad idea. This suit is reserved for spring and summer events. Medium and slender builds with darker skin skin shades look best in this color suit.

This article did not cover every color suit on the market. However, I feel that it is a great start to learning what you can about suit colors. Please use this information to make the best purchase you can. - 15995
