Why a Healthy Diet is Better than any Diet Pill

By Ricardo d Argence

Now a days we rather stop by Mcdonalds and eat what ever is there and that is how we pack on the weight. When we look at our pant sizes and see we are gaining weight, many people want to see instant results like we get in different areas of our life.

This wish for a magic pill has lead to the development of a very profitable industry, making and selling diet pills to hopeful consumers. Many of us have tried these pills without success. Prior to dieting, one should be sure to do some studying to find the best way for them to lose weight.

There are a number of diet pills that are on the market for purchase. Lots of people make claims to melt fat, suppress appetite and burn carbs. The lack of FDA regulation makes these pills problematic despite the fact that they may live up to their assertions.

Even if you actually succeed in finding a pill that is effective for you, bear in mind that there have been cases where pills have been found to have adverse effects years afterwards. To appeal to various types of dieters, manufacturers have put various unique types of pills on the market.

Appetite Suppressants are by far the most popular type of diet pills available. They work by expanding within your stomach, making you feel fuller. These are available in a wide variety of brands, incorporating natural products and the more recent phentramin.

These pills are the most effective if you are going to use a diet pill, as doctors will prescribe an appetite suppressant for patients that contain a chemical compound that acts on your hunger to stop the sensors from feeling hungry. Some of the over the counter products also use hoodia gordonni cactus. While appetite suppressants may be a good compliment for weight loss, by themselves they will not magically make the weight fall off.

Fat Burners make the claim of huge weight loss. If it's too good to be true, it probably is. Most of these pills are simply a form of caffeine, while some are made with green tree and guarana. With this knowledge in hand, some of these do work, as green tea has proven to help lose weight, with an average of about 10 pounds over two months.

For persons who have larger amounts of weight to lose, supplemental fat burners do not work as well. Another drawback is that these pills contain large amounts of caffeine, which can increase your heart rate and blood pressure to a hazardous level. Other symptoms include dryness, headache, and trouble sleeping. This can prevent you from leading a healthy lifestyle.

The big hype over carbs causing weight gain has caused many people to look for new carb controling solutions. Carb blockers are derived from white kidney beans; they work to an extent, but not nearly as much as is often claimed. These pills are generally expensive, too. The feeling of security that you might feel when you take carb blockers is a sense of security that does not last and is somewhat fake. Carb blockers are not magic - You must still watch your carb intake - carbs taken in will still turn into calories. This just isn't the case.

The safest way to lose extra pounds is to combine healthy eating with an exercise program. Long-term weight loss is a lifestyle change, not a prescription fix. Weight loss pills can help you lose weight, but once you stop taking them and slip back into old habits, the scale will tell a familiar story.

If you do need a little lift, try an appetite suppressant to help your body adjust to eating less, but after a few months, the body will become desensitized to the supplements anyway. So find a good diet plan, stick to it, and watch the weight come off bit by bit without the health risks and expensive costs of diet pills. - 15995
