Making Custom Handcrafted Fantasy Jewelry

By Gibson Maseko

If you have a great sense of style and creativity, you should consider constructing quality custom jewelry for individual clients. If you prove yourself to be good, you will be overwhelmed with phone calls by customers who would want you to construct special pieces for them or as gifts for others. Creating custom jewelry is fun and easy if you have the creative skills and willing to learn. You must set out to make your pieces unique and exclusive so that clients who wear them feel proud knowing for sure there is no others like it in the whole world.

It is actually not easy to work with clients because it is very hard to match the picture in your mind with that in their minds. Do not risk losing a client by working in their presence and showing them how easy it is to do it themselves. By talking to the clients at length you will know and be able to design custom jewelry that matches them completely.

It would be proper for you to find out all about the persons for whom the jewelry piece is to be designed if the piece is to be given to them as gifts. While uniqueness and exclusivity are the keys to making this type of business successful, speaking regularly with your clients is vitally important too.

You will be asked by many clients to make custom jewelry using stones or gems that they may already own. Your job may just be to beautify a piece that your clients currently own. To avoid destroying a client's beloved piece, make sure you have the necessary skills to do the work before you accept the assignment. You can do a good job of enhancing the piece only after you have found out all you can about the piece and how special it is to the customer.

You need to buy pieces from wholesale sources in order to make your custom jewelry. Making sure you are buying quality parts from unique sources overseas can cause you to spend more - so make sure you quote your client a price that is profitable to you, may people make this mistake.

It is reasonable to quote anything up to 30% over and above the budget requirements to buy raw materials to make your bespoke jewelry to ensure you enjoy a good profit margin. After setting aside your intended profit margin, use the remainder as your budget to buy supplies to make the custom jewelry. - 15995

NLP Hypnosis: Clinical Hypnosis gaining acceptance

By Joel Chue

Clinical Hypnosis refers to a situation where a trained hypnotist interacts with the mind of the patient subconscious mind. This is a crucial step in the treatment of a patient ailment. Most of the time, clinical hypnosis are carried out by qualified physicians as only they have the knowhow to understand a patient mental health.

Of late, clinical hypnosis has assumed tremendous importance in view of the fact that people visit trained hypnotists to tackle their problems like smoking, drinking and various others. This method of hypnosis at a clinic is proved to be successful to control obesity as well.

Most of us believe that hypnosis is a process in which the hypnotist whitewashes the patient's brain and gives the brain a kind of a new beginning. It is not so. Hypnosis involves a huge time to show effects, and requires total co-ordination and co-operation from the person who is being treated. It is for this why the attitude of the patient is very important for proper treatment. In many cases, quite some sittings are required to achieve what the hypnotist had set out for. It all depends on the patient's willingness to co-operate and accept the various positive suggestions that the hypnotist may recommend, and more positive the patient's attitude, more sooner can the goal be achieved. For patients who wish to get rid of bad habits like smoking and drinking, extreme patience from the side of the patient is required for the result to be achieved.

Therapeutic hypnosis is the name given to such a treatment involving a hypnotist for the purpose. In comparison, self hypnosis involves the hypnosis of the subject on his own, by reading materials provided on a CD or on the internet. In case of clinical hypnosis, on the other hand, the hypnotist completely understands the patients mental status and works on it. Remember to select an expert hypnotist for the purpose of treatment, as because the involvement of an inexperienced hypnotist may lead to extreme kind of reactions. So an expert in the field is always beneficial for the patient.

At present, the majority of the people seeking treatment from a trained hypnotist are those who wish to quit their unhealthy habit like drinking or smoking. In fact, this category of patients forms the bulk of the trained hypnotist income. So far, there is inadequate knowledge in the use of hypnosis to treat serious diseases like diabetes, cancer, etc. However, hypnosis has been successfully used to lessen the pain of cancer suffering patient. - 15995

Causes of greasy hair, and best products/shampoo for greasy hair

By Jennifer Summers

Greasy hair can look oily and dull, and have a lank and lifeless appearance. It can look flat and heavy, and it never seems to stay clean and fresh. It takes on a stringy appearance within a few hours of shampooing and refuses to stay full and fluffy. Does this describe your hair? Do you ask the question, why is my hair greasy? Greasy hair can cause social embarrassment as others may judge that the sufferer has poor hygiene and does not wash their hair frequently enough, even if they actually wash it every day.

The grease found in hair is called sebum and is oil that is produced natural by the body. Each of the hairs on your head has a gland called the sebaceous gland immediately under the skin, this gland produces sebum. Oil in greasy hair protects each strand form split ends and dryness, and is in fact a sign of healthy hair. Sebum is made as lubrication for the skin and hair, providing a protective barrier and preventing drying. Sebum is the body's own natural moisturizer.

Greasy hair is excess of sebum in the hair and comes as a result of an over production of sebum (oil) from over active sebaceous glands, stimulated by hormones called androgens. Androgens are male hormones that are present in both men and women, but are higher in men. Androgens do two things: First, they enlarge the sebaceous glands in the skin. Second, they cause these glands to increase oil production.

Fluctuating hormones can cause greasy as hormones play a part in sebum production. Greasy hair is most common in women because of either pregnancy or monthly cycle, older women going through the menopause, and teenagers experiencing puberty. Stress can be a contributory factor in greasy hair as it is known to affect hormones levels. People with fine hair on their head may experience excessive greasy hair as they have more hair follicles and more sebaceous glands producing more sebum.

There are several external causes of greasy hair. Washing your hair too frequently can cause more sebum to be produced as frequent washing can strip the hair of oils, to combat this sebaceous glands excrete sebum. Sebaceous glands can be stimulated through vigorous scrubbing of the hair and scalp while washing. Touching your hair can also stimulate sebaceous glands, along with vigorous hair brushing which carries oil throughout the hair. The over-use of styling products can cause hair to look greasy as the products can build-up at the roots. Everyday environmental pollutants can also cause hair to look greasy.

There can also be a number of internal causes of greasy hair. I have already mentioned fluctuating hormone levels; however one of the leading causes when it comes to causes of greasy hair is your diet. Diets in the Western world are typically much greasier, higher in fat and sugar, processed and contain additives, the high fat content increasing levels of oil in the skin, potentially causing greasy hair. A diet that is low in vitamin B can also be a cause of greasy hair, along with the hormones often found in the meat of Western diets which can add to unbalanced hormones.

The secret of how to treat, cure, prevent and avoid greasy hair is to treat it from both the outside, and the inside. For the outside: avoid brushing your hair too frequently, and when you brush avoid brushing your hair vigorously. When you wash your hair, the best shampoo for greasy hair is a mild-ph extra cleansing/clarifying shampoo that is formulated for greasy hair. Avoid moisturizing shampoos as they can leave some oil in your hair to protect against dryness. When washing your hair, avoid scrubbing your hair and scalp vigorously, lightly massage your hair and scalp instead.

When shampooing, leave the shampoo in your hair for approximately 5 minutes for a better clean. Rinse and shampoo again if necessary. It's up to you as to how often you should wash your hair. Once or twice a week is the ideal but to find your own balance of washing and oil production start with washing once a day, reducing how often you wash as you find that balance. If you are going to condition your hair, use a conditioner designed especially for greasy hair, and apply the conditioner not to the roots but to the mid and ends of your hair. If you use a hair dryer to style your hair, heat will stimulate oil production, so don't let it get too hot.

With the inside: do all that you can to reduce and eliminate any and all stress. In your diet, consider using a vitamin B supplement. Make sure you eat plenty of whole grains, seeds, nuts, leafy green vegetables, salads and fresh fish. Reduce the amount of fatty foods that you eat, avoiding greasy, fried and fatty foods as much as possible. Reduce the number of white flour based foods in your diet, foods like pastries, pasta and bread. Lastly, avoid sugar and sugary foods like biscuits, cakes and soft drinks. - 15995

The Benefits of Professional Salon Hair Care Products...

By Jennifer Summers

Looking after your hair is a top priority if you pride yourself on having clean and healthy looking hair, and using quality hair care products (i.e. shampoo and conditioner) is a must. However, when it comes to getting the best value for money should you buy professional salon hair care products, or would cheap high street hair care products be just as good?

Cheap hair products available from the average high street store might appear to be better value for money because of their lower cost, while professional salon hair care products often appear to be pricier, with the average salon hair products priced at $20/GBP10, and a similar size cheap hair care product costing $4/GBP2.

When you weigh up cheap hair care products and professional salon hair care products and compare them on price alone, cheaper hair care products seem to be far and away the obvious choice, costing 1/5th the price of salon products, giving you what appears to be 5 times the amount of product for the same money.

However... when you carry out a closer inspection of the differences between cheap hair products and professional salon hair products, does cheap hair care products really provide the better value for money, or is buying cheap hair products a false economy? Let's take a closer look...

To find out whether the premium brand salon hair products provide better value for money in both the short and long term when compared to cheap high street hair care products, we decided to test them to find out the real truth about hair products, and whether the high street products are as good a deal as they initially appear.

We tested a 300ml bottle of shampoo from the high street and a 300ml salon professional shampoo. With the high street product a 50ml application is standard to clean hair where with the professional product a 10ml application was all that was required to clean the hair to the same standard.

The high street hair shampoo, using a 50ml application, provides 6 applications per 300ml bottle (approximately). The professional shampoo, using a 10ml application, provides around 30 applications per 300ml. Hence the high street shampoo worked out at $0.64c/GBP0.32p whilst the professional shampoo came in at $0.66c/GBP0.33p.

Summary: at first glance, cheaper high street hair products appear to be a better buy and provide value for money, but on closer scrutiny there is but a hair's breadth of difference in the price of salon hair products, and cheap hair products. When you add the better quality and effectiveness of salon products into the equation, the salon products turn out to be much better value for money. Q? Why would you use anything other than the highest quality hair care products on your hair? - 15995

Enjoy Bread, Enjoy Yoghurt and Still Enjoy Calories Loss

By Rowena French

Breads used for sandwiches, snacks or even in salads sustain us and provide the drive we need across every day. A diet containing too much bread does not assist with weight loss but nutritionists maintain that as it is essential to eat a small portion of this to remain healthy. As importantly, you can eat these foods and still experience a calories loss that will see you lose weight.

Grains are found in a many foods that can be included in each meal and even in healthy snacks. We need energy at the start of the day and so carefully selected whole grain or bran cereals low in sugar and served with reduced fat milk are important foods to include in our breakfast menu. A slice of whole grain bread is low in calories and can be included with a low calorie margarine and fruit spread or jam as part of a calories loss menu.

Pita bread containing less than 200 calories is a most versatile and suitable food to include in many meals like snack time where it can be an alternative to high calorie chips. Fresh pita bread with hummus and salad can become a delicious 'wrap' for lunch. Brown rice with vegetables and a chicken breast either steamed or stir fried in a wok is a healthy low calorie dinner at any time of the year.

Winter is not the only time you can enjoy a serving of fiber filled oatmeal and still maintain the calories loss you need to lose weight. You can include pasta in your menu for lunch or dinner but limit your portion as too much can be counter productive. Pasta is often served with salad and a low calorie protein meat so it is wise to eat more of these.

Eat whole grain crackers and cheese as a snack instead of potato chips and you will be surprised at how much of a calories loss this accounts for. Crunchy and filling with hardly any calories, rice cakes are the classic diet food. Add a tablespoon of peanut butter on top for some taste and protein.

Some dairy products are packaged in ways that make them excellent food for dieters! 2% milk, low calorie margarine, low calorie cheese and yogurt are core foods to include in a calories loss menu so make sure that you stock up on as much of this as your refrigerator can hold. Low calorie cheeses and yogurt are often packaged in perfect sizes for a snack and you can calculate the portions of these foods to assist with your calories loss.

Yogurts are fabulous for those following a low calorie diet. Individually portioned and low in calories, they are sweet, great sources of calcium and the perfect size for a snack usually containing less than 200 calories. When the grocery store has a sale on yogurt, stock up.

Pre-packaged, low calorie meals often containing high quality ingredients including dairy and grain foods come frozen and are easy to store in your refrigerator. They are popular meals at work and at home and because they require little preparation and advertise their calorie content they are easy to include in a calories loss menu. Other frozen food including vegetables and fruit are suitable for low calorie snacks or dessert they too can contribute to your planned weight loss. - 15995

Treating Osteoarthritis at Home

By Mark John

Studies indicate Osteoarthritis as being the most prevalent type of arthritis. Millions of people livig in the western world are reported to suffer with arthritis, with an annual cost thought to be close to $95 billion. Research has discovered that Osteoarthritis is far more common among women, with less of the male population being effected.

Although age is an obvious factor in many cases of osteoarthritis, it's also very clear that there are other areas of concern, such as sports injuries, or perhaps a previous auto accident, Any previous injury, broken bone etc. can become a contributing factor in later life to one's osteoarthritis condition. Obesity is a worrying problem in our modern world and has a significant effect on those suffering with OA. Osteoarthritis is most commonly found in the hands, knees, hips and back.

The shoulder joint seems to shrug off OA, (excuse the pun), it's not true to say that one can not have OA in one's shoulder, its just not that common. More often than not symptoms of painful OA in the shoulder will normally be as a result of a past trauma or maybe even a previous operation. The reasons for being afflicted with OA are hard to pinpoint, however one's occupation, weight, and family history may all play a part.

It is unclear whether excess weight influences OA or whether OA contributes to obesity, either way it is clear that losing excess weight can only help one's osteoarthritis.

Osteoarthritis is a chronic condition

Recent research has discovered that although OA is not classed as an inflammatory condition, arthritics afflicted with osteoarthritis do in many cases have some of the same characteristics as those suffering with rheumatoid arthritis, namely an unusually high number of inflammatory cells found in and around the affected joint.

Osteoarthritis is one of the most prevalent and disabling chronic conditions affecting older adults and a significant public health problem among adults of working age. Although the incidence of osteoarthritis increases with age, the condition is not a normal part of the ageing process.

OA is not a disease linked to one area of the body, there are many variations of osteoarthritis, which can attack many different joints throughout one's body. Unfortunately with most cases of OA the condition gathers momentum with time, with symptoms ranging form stiffness and pain to complete loss of mobility in the effected limb.

The Demise of the Joint

The breaking up of the cartilage can cause Inflammation of the surrounding joint capsule, though often mild, compared to that which occurs in rheumatoid arthritis.

The swelling is brought on by tiny pieces of the damaged bone finding its way in to the synovial space. Many severe cases of swelling attributed to OA may impair joint mobility.

The effects of osteoarthritis are normally felt at their worst in the morning or last thing at night. With a progressive condition such as OA, surgery is usually the inevitable end result especially in older arthritics, younger patients will normally only be offered joint replacement in exceptional circumstances.

A typical hip or knee joint replacement although common, still only has an 85% chance of being in full functioning condition after around 15 years, Having said that a joint replacement may sometimes be the only avenue to go down, especially in severe cases where mobility has become an issue.

Exercise Helps Relieve Osteoarthritis

Exercising can be very beneficial for those suffering with osteoarthritis, but only at sensible levels which do not put undue strain or pressure on the effected joint. Using exercise is a great way of increasing movement and function of arthritic joints, over time and a sensible exercise programme it is possible to strengthen the tissue, muscle and tendons around the joint, which will help support the damaged joint. Exercising is also great for the rest of the body.

Remember one should always talk to a physician about what types of exercise would appropriate for one's particular condition. A health care professional will be able to recommend an appropriate exercise program.

Only use FDA Regulated Arthritis Supplements

Don't be tempted in to taking supplements that promise the earth, yes they just might work for you, however unless they are governed by the FDA (Food and Drug administration) who knows what your taking, you may end up with a container full of capsules containing nothing more than, ground rock and chalk. Only use FDA approved products.

Alternative Treatments for Osteoarthritis

In many cases arthritis drugs carry so many side effects, and occasionally make the condition worse, not better. Many old and indeed new alternative treatments exist which have been shown to relieve arthritis, I believe they work by tackling the underlying elements of the condition (even in OA)

Remove the Harmful Toxins - and Start Feeling Better!

Drink as much filtered water on a daily basis as you can, you should aim to consume around 2 litres a day where possible. Drinking excessive amounts of water helps remove the harmful toxins trapped in the body, and can ultimately help relieve symptoms of arthritis. Avoid using water straight from the tap as it will probably contain heavy metal deposits, which are also damaging to the bones.

Fresh fruit is known to be a great natural anti-oxidant, especially apples and fresh berries, (avoid citrus fruits).Foods which are known to be beneficial to those suffering with OA might include, Fish that typically contain the highest levels of vitamin E and Omega-3 fatty acids.

Alternative arthritis medicine and practices can and will address one's condition Natural practices are known to reduce pain, inflammation, and stiffness with dramatic results, these same natural treatments can greatly improve mobility in the effected joint. Take a good look around and try a few of the ideas, most of the information is free if you keep looking. - 15995

Do You Fall Asleep During the Day?

By Susan Harris

Are you always tired? Do others report that you snore? Are you a tad or more overweight? If these are true, you may have sleep apnea.

If all these are true, don't wait! Sleep apnea could be shortening your life. Have your doctor prescribe a sleep study to find out whether you have sleep apnea. Sleep apnea is a condition where you are holding your breath and then gasping for air man times a night. Here's one reason why you shouldn't wait: it will shorten your life. You are at increased risk of stroke, heart attack, and other cardiovascular disease including aneurism. Here's the other reason why you shouldn't wait: there's treatment.

Here is what happens in sleep apnea: the airway collapses when you breathe in. Fatty tissue lining the airway makes the airway less elastic. So sleep apnea is a condition caused by overweight, generally speaking. Snoring typically accompanies it.

The airway collapses. Then the blood oxygen level falls. Blood pressure goes way up as a result. The sleeper, struggling to breathe, starts to wake up. Nearly waking up, the sleeper is able to complete the breath. Then he falls asleep again. The cycle can be repeated many times per minute. If a stopped breath lasts 10 seconds, it is defined as sleep apnea.

Your cardiovascular system will wear out from the constantly spiking blood pressure. Your rest will be ruined because of the constant near-waking.

Oddly enough, you may not even be aware that you hold your breath while sleeping. Only the telltale tiredness will tip you off that you are in fact sleep-deprived.

Studies show that the spiking blood pressure countless times per night correlates wtih increased risk of cardiovascular disease. This condition, in fact, can kill you.

So, what can you do about it?

Effective treatment comes through a system that supplies mild air pressure to your nose and mouth as you sleep. This continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) system consists of a fan inside a box, a hose, and a mask. The fan pressurizes the air, delivered through the hose and mask to the nose and mouth. The pressurized air keeps your airway open as you breathe in, and isn't enough to prevent you from exhaling.

One downside is that the mask can be uncomfortable. But a variety of suppliers offer options now, one of which will probably fit your face.

The CPAP might limit your activities, too, because you always have to wear it, even if you are traveling or camping.

Is the fan noise a problem? Users say no; the white noise can actually help them fall asleep.

So, do a quick risk analysis. Is the risk of early death worth the inconvenience of wearing a mask and finding an electric outlet whenever you fall asleep? - 15995

Healthy Diet Results in Weight Loss

By Christopher Fitch

Weight loss is not an instant process. When the calorie intake has not burned totally, the leftover residue forms fat and thus a person becomes obese. This excess weight cannot be shed instantly. It needs perseverance, integrity, and meticulous planning. The planning of weight loss is made up of three factors: the exercise that burns the extra calories, a healthy lifestyle and the most important factor: a healthy diet.

A healthy diet supports your immune system. It doesn't mean starving yourself while you track your calorie count and opt for a single can of cola instead of five or six small meals. To that end, it also doesn't mean settling for bland foods that taste like cardboard. What it does mean is matching your calorie needs with your lifestyle and physiological requirements. In other words, your diet will be different than your friend's; and it should be.

Almost every healthy diet will push anti-oxidant foods. The reason for this is that anti-oxidants are shown to reduce the effects of natural aging by keeping your skin tissue soft, hydrated, and pliant -- youthful, in other words. Certain vitamins contain anti-oxidants, many of which are available through the consumption of fruit (hence that old "fruit and vegetable" diet of the 1980's) and fiber, and consequently should be an essential "menu item" on your diet.

The no-carb diet has been proven "wrong." Carbs are an important element to a healthy diet and it is more likely that carbohydrate intake needs to be scaled back (not eliminated altogether). What you need to aim for is matching the amount of carbs to the amount of protein that you take in on a regular basis. Ideally, a marginal preference to protein works best and partially replacing carbs with animal or plant protein seems to work fine. Now, that doesn't mean going nuts with protein; some, like red meats, should be limited or avoided because they contain high fat content (lean meats on the other hand should be a regular component to your diet menu).

Most people overlook dairy intake when planning for a healthy diet and are shocked to find that dairy needs to be restricted. Dairy has a direct link to obesity as a result of high fat content. Now, low-cal yogurt and non-fat cottage cheese are exceptions and can be incorporated into your meal plan. Another alternative would be health shakes or protein shakes, but you should consult the dietary guide before purchasing -- keep carbs low and protein high on these products.

Finally, a proper exercise routine eliminates that extra fluid in our bodies. But exercise alone won't do the trick -- you need to either increase your water intake or maintain it (8-10 cups). This keeps your muscles, skin, and body properly hydrated and as a result reduces the chance of cramping (keep in mind that cramping is one of the main reasons we skip out on regular exercise... so drinking that water keeps our routine on track).

As noted here, fasting does not have a place in a healthy diet or weight loss. While it sounds cliche, weight loss really is a change in lifestyle, everything from how exercise to what you eat. It doesn't mean settling for tasteless meals; enjoy healthy foods instead but make sure they match up with your body's calorie requirements. Also, bring others into your exercise routine; if you run into resistance, don't call it exercise, call it an evening stroll or spring cleaning involving moving heavy boxes around. Once it becomes routine, you'll be addicted! - 15995

Will Kinetin Help With Anti-Aging?

By Julie Samtsonn

When looking at types of anti-aging creams and anti wrinkle creams, there are various active ingredients that are often used. These are Retinol-based, Hydroxy acid based, Antioxidants, Copper Peptides, Coenzyme Q10, or Kinetin. Anti-aging solutions and anti wrinkle creams work by moisturizing new cell growth, while removing the upper layer of dead, dry skin cells. With Kinetin, it can often be sold in conjunction with an exfoliate or by itself promising that the dead skin cells will come off on their own. New moisturized cells will then begin to emerge.

Kinetin is considered as a 'super moisturizer' and is found growing naturally in plants (as plant growth hormone). It is this growth hormone found in plants that restarts a broken or pruned branch with twice the growth it had before. So it is similar to healing compound. Many people make use of Kinetin instead of Retinol based treatment because the side effects that occur in some individuals using Retinol.

In cosmetics, Kinetin is often used in the form of coconut milk or aloe, or other plant derivatives. While Kinetin is believed to be a moisture retention agent found in anti aging creams and anti wrinkle creams, it's real benefits have been unproven. While skin treatments that advertise hydrating results, will naturally have an effect on dry skin cells, which will make skin appear dry, or aged and lacking a glow, Kinetin products will sometimes claim it is best used by persons in tropical type climates, where excessive moisturizing is needed and may be too much for persons not needing the excess moisture.

There have been advances in anti-aging creams and anti-wrinkle creams, and not many products on the market are still touting the natural plant growth ingredient of Kinetin. Some of the products that previously used Kinetin are no longer being sold on websites and in stores, other than to exhaust product in inventory, so it may be found to not be effective as anything other than a moisturizer.

There are so many choices in the skin care treatments, with some having staggering prices, but not necessarily more effective than cheaper items, that it is best to do research on what options work best for you. In the anti-aging creams, many of them are based on keeping the skin hydrated, and retaining moisture, and this is where Kinetin would certainly fit the bill. It may be that it is too expensive to manufacture as a moisturizer, so claims by some cosmetics companies may not justify the benefit/cost expectations of customers, and it is being phased out as a major factor as newer choices become available.

Kinetin is still a good treatment choice that is used in UV over exposure treatments, it is also a good choice for anybody needing a natural chemical treatment instead of stronger chemicals. Because it is being phased out of anti-aging creams and anti-wrinkle creams could indicate that it is not as effective as competing products. However, some people who have more sensitive skin, see it as the option they need. - 15995

Dry Hair Care and Dry Hair Treatment

By Jennifer Summers

The look of your hair is the one attribute of the body over which you can have direct control. You can alter the length, shape, colour and style of your hair according to the age you wish to appear, and the monetary and social standing you want to assert. The style, length and condition of hair all play a part in how we perceive the people we meet. If you are to get the greatest possible results from your hair care practice, you need to opt for the right hair shampoo and conditioner for your hair type. We can identify hair that is in first-class condition. It is easy to manage and it shines, - it just looks great.

Dry hair is hair that doesn't have enough moisture. This is normally because the cuticle has become heavily weathered and porous, so that the cortex cannot hold on to water. It appears more in long hair than in short, purely because the hair has been growing for longer and as a result has worn more. It is more widespread in women than in men, since women are more likely to sport their hair long. The drying out may come to have an effect on more of the hair if it is given constant chemical treatments, for the most part perming, and especially perming connected with bleaching/colouring.
Your hair is dry if:
* it looks lacklustre
* it feels dry or coarse
* it snarls easily
* it is tricky to comb or brush
* it has been treated chemically (permed, bleached or colored)
* it is liable to split ends
* it is dry and frizzed.
If your hair meets any of these conditions, you should opt for a hair shampoo and conditioner that are specifically for dry hair.

Wage war on the damage from the use of heat-styling, environmental pollution, chemical treatments and colouring. Deep-condition your hair often. Keep your hair shiny and strong by replenishing lost moisture. Use quality products and wash your hair often. Moisturizing Shampoos and Conditioners are the correct products - Ideal for very dry hair. Restoring lost moisture from blow-drying.

And more importantly - take into account conditioning your hair well. Use Leave-in Conditioners and Re-constructive detanglers. A leave-in conditioner will give you body and shine that is great for straight hair and taming the frizz. To prevent split ends have the ends cut on a regular basis. Use a qualified hairdresser.

In a standard, perfect hair shaft, insufficient water can get either into or out of the cortex. This is for the reason that the cuticle covering the cortex is undamaged. But if hair is processed too often the cuticle scales may never go back to their original tightness and the defence they once offered is gone. Over-porous hair is parched, and is prone to developing split ends. The broken cuticle is delicate, and the damage gets worse as time passes. Dry hair feels parched. It doesn't shine and is hard to style. It does responds to intensive conditioning. Cautious brushing, drying and combing after cleansing is vital.

If the bottle says: Moisturizing or Replenishing. This means: It's formulated to be gentle to dry, damaged hair. These shampoos are heavier on the moisturizing ingredients, sometimes leaving a very thin film of conditioners on the hair to help keep it silky and smooth. Works best for: Dry, frizzy, damaged hair. - 15995

Weight Loss in Teens

By Christo Fouche

Investigating studies from the past we find more kids nowadays are mild to severely overweight. The 1999-2000 National health survey indicates that 15 % of children and teens are overweight.

The figure is nearly double that what was recorded a decade or so ago. Some blame their present lifestyle while others blame the lack of discipline in teens nowadays. Regardless of the reasons, teen weight problems are real.

But unlike weight loss programs for adults, teen weight loss programs are a little tricky since such programs when left uncheck can be potentially dangerous for their health. Because of the potential danger, dietitian and nutrition experts approach the subject with caution.

Teenagers are still developing and growing and cutting down their food intake will greatly influence their growth. It is therefore extremely important that diet programs for teens should cover all their nutritional needs.

For teenagers, they generally need to grasp some basic concepts about eating right. If they eat too little, their health will be put at risk. But similarly, if they eat more that they should, the extra food turns into body fat causing weight issues. Teenagers should learn to eat food less with saturated fats.

Foods high in fat include those fried in fat and oil like fried chicken, burgers, potato chips, french fries, potato chips and other fatty meat. On the other hand, they also should avoid foods that are high in fat and sugar contents like cakes, chocolates, butter, cream, peanut butter, pies, cookies, and generally any sweets and sweet desserts.

Several diet programs claim to be the best solutions for over weight teens. These claims generally revolve around two basic concepts which forms natural dietary habits: the right diet and regular exercise. In reality, the best way for teens to loose weight is still the having the right diet and right exercise. Teens should at all cost avoid the use of diet pills.

Most of the kids or teens today live on fast foods, get exceedingly large food portions and are really extremely lazy lacking the necessary sport activities to build a healthy body. Outdoor activities for teens can help them loose some of their excess body weight. When you cut grass use a push mower, for example. Try to engage in activities like playing ball which would help you exercise without even realizing it.

There's really no easy way to loose weight. You need to work the excess fat off your body on a regular basis. It is the right combination of diet and exercise which will help you loose weight quickly. But the problem with dieting and exercising is keeping motivated and goal oriented. Kids find dieting intimidating and regular exercise boring, but without it, they wont lose those pounds.

This is why the family should support them if you want your kids to loose some weight. You need to keep your kids and teens motivated and goal orientated. Encourage them and help them overcome their cravings by cooking, serving and eating the same food diets that they eat. Get them to be more active and take part in an enjoyable sport. If they find regular exercises boring, join them in other activities such as sports.

Teach them what to look for when they have something to eat at functions and outdoors. Tell them the benefits of foods and teach them how to read food labels and to check the ingredients. You may be able to control their diet while they stay home but when they go outside and eat with friends, then you might have a bigger problem to control their habits. It is therefore important in any diet to implant a sense of self discipline and pride in what they do and eat. - 15995

Burn the Baby Fat - The Diets to Avoid

By Teresa Brown

Eating is something we have to do everyday of our lives. The how, when and what you eat are intimately related with your lifestyle. Obviously, we can't exist on cabbage soup or remove carbohydrates or fats from our diets for the rest of our lives. As a result, we eventually stop the diet and gain back the weight lost and then some. It's no surprise then that despite all these diets that claim to have the answer to burn the baby fat, that there still is a growing number of moms struggling with a weight problem today.

We are told to eat a balanced diet, which seems simple enough but in today's world we don't have or make the time to do so and to make matters worse, we are getting more and more over weight for lack of trying. If you want to burn the baby fat, the natural thing to do would be to cut back on your caloric intake. All diets do this but the majority of them are missing the "nutritionally balanced" part.

Food Deprivation Diet

Your body needs food to give it energy to keep you the wonderful, busy mom that you are. On average a person can survive without food between 4 to 6 weeks. And depriving your body of its nutrients puts a lot of strain on your body's resources making you irritable and physically weak because it slows down your metabolism to conserve energy.

Severely reducing your caloric intake to burn the baby fat will "gear" down your metabolism into "starvation" mode and instead of burning the baby fat quickly, your body will hold on to your body fat by burning it slowly. As soon as you return to eating a regular diet, your body will still be working to save energy resulting in you gaining back more pounds than you started with. Burning the baby fat requires that you do the opposite of starving yourself which is eating a balanced diet in which you eat more often but fewer calories.

Celebrity Diets

Hollywood diets have been around for a while and they seem to be here to stay. Part of their "staying" power is the Starlets that use them to maintain the "fabulous" Hollywood look. Wanting to look like a Celebrity mom can lead to moms dieting like them to burn the baby fat. These diets usually claim to have a special ingredient that will make you lose the pregnancy weight fast but you'll only gain it back as quickly as you lost it.

Hollywood loves thin women and therefore, some celebrity moms have to find a means to lose their pregnancy weight as quickly as possible with a fad diet. You don't have to keep up with Tinsel Town's artificial and unhealthy way of being by going on a fad diet. A mother's beauty is more than skin deep. Your loved ones know how beautiful you are. You are a mother and being a mother brings out a the real kind of beauty that lasts.

Mother Nature's Diet

As tempting a starvation or fad diet may seem to solve your battle to burn the baby fat, it will be weight re-gained and time poorly spent. Why not use your precious time and pour your energy into taking steps to learn the tools that foster healthy living? Living a healthy lifestyle involves taking care of your mind, body and spirit. True weight management is an on-going activity. Gradually losing pregnancy weight through eating right and exercising regularly will increase your success rate at long term weight loss. Dump the diets. Eat healthy and live healthy. - 15995

Golf Travel Cases: Are You An Air Or Car Traveler?

By John DiMillio

If you're a golfer who travels with their clubs then a golf travel case is a must for you. Protecting your clubs with the right golf travel case is important.

Golf travel bags last a long time. So if you make the wrong choice you'll probably be carrying it around for many years. Too big a case means extra weight. Too small means no space for shoes, hat or an extra set of clothes. Golf travel bags come in a variety of colors, sizes and styles to suit every personality. Whether you're a basic black person or want more color in your life there's a color and style for you.

The type of travel you take will determine the type of golf travel case you need. Most airline travelers are best served by a hard sided golf case.

Between shuttles and baggage handling your clubs are going to be tossed and jostled. Baggage handles are struggling with planes at full capacity to unload and reload planes quickly. As a result your clubs are thrown and jostled more than ever.

Hard Golf Case Or Soft Sided Golf Bag?

The exterior of the hard case puts a layer of protection between your clubs and the world of baggage handlers. Inside the hard golf case your clubs are as secure as a baby in a car seat.

But if you're a golfer who travels mainly by car, then the soft golf travel case will probably be your bag of choice. With its waterproof exterior and interior padding, your clubs are protected as they ride in the trunk of the car or on the luggage cart to your hotel room.

You'll find space to store your soft golf travel bag under the bed or in a closet. The hard golf travel case is a little more of a challenge. The hard cases won't fit under a bed and take up a lot of space in a closet.

So choose your golf travel case based on the travel you do. A golf travel case is important to protect your clubs. And depending on the model you choose you can have additional pockets to store shoes, hat, and an extra set of clothes-everything you need to quickly get out on the course.

There's a wide variety of golf travel bags available online. Whether you choose a hard golf travel case or a soft golf travel bag you're apt to discover one to fit your needs and protect your clubs.

Enjoy your travel as you try out new courses. But when you travel protect your investment in your clubs with a golf travel case. - 15995

Bodybuilding Tips, How to Get Huge Biceps

By Ricardo d Argence

The arms are probably one of the most often trained body parts, other than chest, in most gyms today. Guys will work them to death because they want the sleeves of their shirts to fit a little tighter. It gives them a sense of confidence and the females obviously like a guy with huge guns popping out of his shirt.

Now I'll instruct you in the way to work out your biceps, which are simply the pair of muscles that connect at the elbow joint and extend upward to your shoulder muscle as well as under it.

Barbell or EZ-curl bar standing curls are the most basic exercises. Try to stand with either a straight bar or EZ-curl bar with your feet shoulder width apart. You need to take an underhand grip about shoulder width apart also. I recommend you use a mirror to make sure wrists, elbows and shoulders are always properly positioned in a straight line through out the move.

Begin with the bar fully extended and, without moving your elbows, bring the bar to your chin using your arms. When you reach the top of the movement, get a stronger contraction by squeezing your biceps. Be sure to lock the wrists the whole time because bending the wrist can easily cause an injury. This is the main exercise for building mass in the biceps. This exercise starts my routine, using the most weight I can manage. You should warm up your muscles with lighter weights first before intensifying your work out with heavier weights.

If you want to use heavier weights the best exercise you can implement in your routine is alternate standing dumbbell curls. This excercise can be really usefull to shape up your biceps

The same movement is used as in bar curls except for one little variation. When the movement is at its peak, take your pinky finger and raise it up above your thumb. Try practicing it with no resistance. This is what will give you that extra peak that all the pros have. It may be hard, but when your showing off to your buddies, it'll give your guns that extra mass.

Good isolation exercise for your guns with an EZ-bar that curls with preacher bench. Since you are only using your biceps, you will find that you don't have as much strength as you want when you are doing this exercise. Also, if you did the two sets of exercises the proper way, you should be very tired right now.

Dangle your arms across the angled pad, while pressing your chest against the workout bench. Grab the EZ curl bar with an underhand grip. Curl the weight up and contract your biceps as hard as you can. Lower slowly, being careful not to let the bar stress your elbows at the bottom of the movement. A good exercise that will place added stress on your lower biceps area.

The above program is only part of an overall fitness plan, you can visit my site if you want to know more about it. - 15995

Hair Loss & Thinning Hair Information

By Jennifer Summers

For millions of people world-wide, everyday is a "bad hair" day due to the problem of thinning hair or baldness. Discussing hair loss with a doctor is an important first step. There are a number of treatments available these days that make hair loss or thinning hair easier to live with. A concern not only experienced by men but by a growing number of women is Alopecia, or the excessive and abnormal loss of healthy hair. Traumatic situations and genetics can be the cause of hair thinning and loss and also by hormonal fluctuations, excessive physical force or poor nutrition. While these factors can affect both men and women, hair thinning and loss usually occurs for:

Men
The most well-known pattern of hair loss is a thinning crown or receding hair line. Due to the presence of a derivative or by-product of testosterone called dihydrotestosterone (DHT) hair loss happens. This hormone can contract the hair follicles and has a larger effect in the mid-anterior scalp and temples. Some categories of male hair loss are:
Chronic Diffuse Alopecia - can happen because of nutritional, metabolic or endocrine matters.
Acute diffuse alopecia - occurs from physical or psychological reasons such as hormones, nutritional shortages or medications.
Androgenetic Alopecia - occurs because of genetic sensitivity to male hormones. This hardly ever affects women.

Women
Anagen effluvium - due to chemotherapy this may occur. The matrix of the hair becomes damaged and, as a consequence, the hair shaft narrows, eventually breaking.
Traction alopecia - caused by rigorous hairstyles, ie: ponytails that are too tight, frequent use of extensions, braiding or cornrows. These methods pull at hair over time but loss can be prevented if diagnosed and treated early enough. The majority of cases of hair thinning and loss result from hormonal fluctuations, ie: during pregnancy, childbirth or use of some types of birth control.

Males and females can reduce or even halt hair loss or thinning, if found early enough, by using various over-the-counter treatments like:
a). A shampoo that describes itself as "revitalizing/fortifying/energizing". These will nurture and guard existing hair while removing oils that can obstruct the follicles and stop re-growth.
b). A daily vitamin supplement. Look for supplements labelled especially for hair and/or nails and are fortified with Vitamin B3 (niacin). These defend the hair shaft, and antioxidants, to ward off harm from free radicals.
c). Weekly use, leave-in scalp treatment prepared with essential oils - oils such as lavender and orange will relax and unblock hair follicles to encourage growth, regulate oil production and sustain cell repair.
Results will vary, as with any treatment, and may possibly need to be continued on a regular basis. Also, allow around 6-8 weeks before expecting to see results.

Methods to disguise thinning hair and hair loss:
Perhaps it is time to think of some techniques to hide your hair loss if you are unhappy with your thinning hair. Whether you are a man or a woman losing hair due to heredity, stress, medication or a medical condition you can use these tips to help you cope.

Use a Specific Thickening Shampoo or Conditioner for your Hair
Using a specific hair thickening shampoo and/or conditioner that is intended to conceal hair loss by ensuring the hair appears to be thicker and more voluminous. After shampooing and conditioning make sure that you brush your hair gently to halt the loss of more hair. Before combing or brushing your hair permit it to dry thoroughly.

Techniques for Styling
If your head of hair is not as thick as it used to be, there are some styling techniques and styling products that you can use to keep your head looking its best at any age. Avoid styling gels they will only matte your hair together and accentuate your baldness. Go for texturizing lotions and creams that will give you fullness and volume. Another great choice is to use a leave-in conditioner that can make your hair appear fuller and more textured. Blow dry thinning hair for a fuller look - For hair that is thinning on top, try blow drying after you wash and condition and comb the hair in front straight back. Use mousse or a light hairspray to keep the style in place. The blow dryer will keep hair from matting together and appearing thinner than it is.

Hair extensions are a quick and simple method
Use a professional hair salon to get natural human hair added to your hair. This may last you for several weeks or several months. Hair extensions are used for women and men, with thick long hair to camouflage the fact that they are losing hair, and are an easy way to change your look.

Blow-dry your Hair
Consider blow drying if your hair is thinning on top to give it added texture and body and to give your head more coverage. Brush it into a quiff on top of your head by brushing it from the forehead up. Maintain the style with a little hairspray. If your hair is thinning throughout, this is a good way to make your hair look fuller.

Chaps -Getting a Buzz from your Hair
The buzz cut is a way to disguise the fact that you are losing hair. Businessmen, sports stars and actors all use this as a classy, style that is easy to maintain. Groom your scalp daily and remove the hairs you have left for a clean, fresh look by using a wet-dry electric razor. If you're disturbed about your hair loss or if your hair is starting to thin, make an appointment with your hairdresser or barber and request some advice on a fresh, new look. There are plenty of hair styles to choose from that have you looking great. - 15995

How to Burn the Baby Fat eating Healthy Fats

By Teresa Brown

Fat is not a bad word but a necessary nutrient that has been unfairly vilified by the media due to our over indulgence of high fat foods and our sedentary and unhealthy lifestyles. We need to include it in our diets because it is an important part of our body's physical, cellular and biochemical functionality. To much of a good thing such as fatty foods can put you on the long and steep road to burn the baby fat. Fat is not the problem we are because we make, buy and eat too much high fat foods.

It's time to wake up and cut back on your fat. The operative word being "cut back" and not "eliminate". We need to "cut back" the fat because a diet high in fat is connected to a host of health problems, namely, cancer, diabetes and heart disease.

The logical way to go about losing pregnancy weight is to greatly reduce the fat in your diet. The first thing to do to cut out fat is by altering the way you buy, cook and prepare food. Being more health conscious of the food you eat is a step in the right direction to burn the baby fat.

Consumers today can easily monitor the amount of fat that they consume by reading the nutrition facts on products or the nutrition pamphlets provided by fast food restaurants and food companies. Also some restaurants have healthier menu selections to cater to people who are looking for healthier meal options.

Fat is an essential nutrient but it should be no more than 35 percent of your entire diet and of that only 300 mg should be cholesterol. The monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats such as any vegetable, nut, olive or fish oils are the good fats and therefore should be the fats that take up 25 percent of your dietary fats. On the other hand, the bad fats such and the trans (hydrogenated fats) and saturated fats (bacon and whole milk) are to be eaten less and should only take no more than 10 percent of your dietary fats.

Remembering to eat fat in moderation will keep your fat consumption in the healthy range. Naturally, some days you will eat more fat than others but being aware of what you are eating will balance out your fat intake. Because of this, a healthy diet focuses on the average fat consumption over a period of months or weeks instead of daily fat consumption.

In order to maintain a balanced diet, you need to eat more of the healthy fats and less of the unhealthy ones that can be detrimental to your health. Burning the baby fat requires cutting back on your calories especially the calories from foods laden with saturated and trans fats. Eat a balanced low calorie diet and increase your physical activity and watch the weight melt off. - 15995

Are you throwing your money away on night time moisturizers?

By Dr. Grace Angel

No probably not but, night time creams and moisturizers have in the last few years exploded on the market purporting to be the new fountain of youth and many contain ingredients of dubious usefulness. While millions of dollars of product sells every year, many doctors believe that some products might not be worth price. "Some night creams are extremely pricey but do not deliver any bang for the buck," says Dr. P.K. Farris, a Louisiana dermatologist.

Night Cream Producers Blatantly Overstate Benefits

Manufacturers oftentimes make extravagant claims that its product will revitalize your skin and turn back the clock, but these claims are just clever packaging. "Companies say that your skin rejuvenates itself at night, or it does these special processes that it doesn't do in the day, and there's no proof of that at all," says Dr. Leslie Baumann, professor of dermatology at the University of Miami.

According to Doctors There are Several Proven Anti-Aging Compounds

Retinol, Vitamin C, and certain Peptides (proteins) have been proven anti-aging compounds. "Night time moisturizers should contain retinol because sunlight renders retinol inactive," according to Dr. Baumann. Dermatologists unanimously agree that a good night cream should contain Peptides and Vitamin C because they boost collagen production. Doing so reduces wrinkles and helps increase skin firmness.

In order to work, night time moisturizers must (1) contain the proper ingredients in the proper concentration; and (2) be given time to work, a minimum of 5 hours a night for 8 weeks. If the creams are used only sporadically the desired results cannot be seen, "It's sort of like when you need a blood transfusion and instead of putting in an IV you just splash the blood on your skin. Similarly a moisturizer won't do any good unless it penetrates and to do so it must have time to work," says Seattle based dermatologist Dr. Sandy Read.

The End Result

A night time moisturizer need not cost arm and a leg but quality creams should contain Peptides, Vitamin C, and Retinol. Many reputable brands can be found online using search engines but I do recommend a quality source, http://www.nighttimemoisturizers.com . This website is devoted solely to night creams and, of course, night time moisturizers. They have a wealth of knowledge and research on the matter. Do your research, do not fall prey to advertisers that promise much and fail to deliver the right ingredients in the right proportion. A quality night cream can help you fight the effects of aging, soothe the skin, and boost collagen production. - 15995

Relieving Sports Massages with a Shiatsu Massage Chair

By James Knolan

When you think of massage, you think of an afternoon at the spa, being pampered with a mud bath, feeling the heat of the sauna, and rejuvenating your skin with fresh peels and wraps. But there's another side-an increasing trend called sports therapy massage. Massage is a natural choice for warming up muscles prior to physical activity. Massage chairs are being built that can perform many sports related massages. Shiatsu massage chairs are assembling an arsenal of massage therapies into their chairs.

Athletes know the benefits of massage. Many athletes obtain sports massages to prepare their bodies for more strenuous exertion. These massages are more than just feeling good after the match. Today's massage chair manufacturers are have many massage features specifically for both amateur and professional athletes.

Doctors have learned that a sports therapy massage for athletes before, during and after a game or match can limit injury and contribute to faster recovery when injuries do occur. This is because sports therapy massages loosen muscles increasing their flexibility while increasing circulation allowing them to metabolize fuel to enhance performance. This cuts down on sports-related injuries such as a pulled muscle, sprains and fractures. Other benefits for athletes are improved range of motion, increased bodily fluid flow, scar tissue break-down and endorphin releases.

Sports therapy massage for athletes is like nourishment for muscles. It increases circulation, cuts down on pain, and allows for quicker rehabilitation after an injury. Many of the high end massage chairs from Panasonic, Omega and Sanyo are incorporating more features aimed at helping athletes. These shiatsu massage chairs have many massage therapies ranging from Swedish, Shiatsu, Reflexology, Acupressure and Deep Tissue massage.

You may not be a professional athlete, but a weekend warrior. Weekend warriors are more at risk since they play more intermittent. If your passion is any type of active sport such as tennis, golf, basketball, or softball, then you know the importance of warming up and warming down your muscles by stretching. The Omega Montage Premier massage chair has a lower body stretch function. This lower body traction functions by using air pressure to hold your feet in the footrest. The footrest is first raised and then lowered down in 3 steps. As the footrest goes down to each lower position, it stretches and elongates your muscles from the hips down. Proper stretching helps you perform better and reduces the chances of injury.

Sport Massage Therapy is a combination of two distinct massage techniques: Swedish and Shiatsu. Swedish massage techniques use long, flowing strokes to increase blood circulation and flow. Shiatsu works on two levels. The first level is the stimulation of acupressure points throughout the back. The second level is the application of a gentle squeezing action to particular areas of the body. Shiatsu helps relax the muscles and also to relieve tension. Massage chair recliners use both techniques to provide a full back massage. The lower body is massaged with an air compression system. Panasonic, for instance, uses the air compression system to gently squeeze, hold and release the muscles of the lower body. The Panasonic EP-3222 massage recliner has an incredible 33 airbags in the seat and footrest to perform lower body massages.

Many people view sports like golf as not very stressful on the body. Although golf does not seem too strenuous, golf puts significant stress on the body. When one swings the club, the muscles on one side of the body are utilized in a one direction. This repetitive one-sided activity causes some muscle groups to be over-utilized while others are under-utilized. Any golfers you know complain about bad backs? I cannot count that high! A simple swinging motion done repetitively can cause tendon and muscle and tendon damage. This is especially true if you do not warm up and warm down properly. Are you looking for a great way to get ready before your strenuous activity? A massage chairs is a very practical option to getting a professional massage. Getting an invigorating shiatsu massage before your golf game may just take a few strokes off your game.

Many massage chair recliners provide a very thorough massage therapy which helps one to relax, reduce tension and warm up the body prior to sports activity. Although shiatsu massage chairs are not cheap. Think of the alternative, injury. If you could avoid an injury, how much is that worth? The cost benefit of having a massage chair is really helping to reduce your risk of injury and enhancing your performance. Whether you are a professional athlete or a weekend warrior, you can get significant benefit from a shiatsu massage chair recliner. - 15995

Continue the Day Spa Treatment at Home with a Massage Chair

By James Knolan

A day at the Day Spa is just a wonderful experience. There are so many treatments to choose from and you know you will be revitalized when you are done. The soothing relaxation and pampering is just what the doctor ordered. The day spa is always something I looked forward to doing, but I am just not finding the time to go as much. With the stress of the new economy upon us, we are all working harder to stay where we are at. Although, I do not make it to the day spa as much, I have found massage chairs to be a very convenient supplement for my massage therapy.

Massage chairs have really come a long way over the last few years. They now offer full body massage capability. Sure they cannot give you a facial or a peel yet, but they certainly can give you a satisfying massage. The premier massage chair recliners offer a huge diversity of massage therapies. For instance, the Panasonic Real Pro Ultra has massage therapies like Shiatsu, Hawaiian, Swedish, deep tissue, compression, kneading and many more. These massage techniques are dispensed at the touch of a button and for as long as you like.

What if you could have a massage any time you wanted? Would that be great? It certainly is convenient. You could just take a 5 minute break and loosen up. Maybe you want to warm up prior to exercise or after. Do your feet ache after a long day at work? Take the load off and have a seat while your feet are gently squeezed, heat applied and the tension relieved.

Day spas have some wonderful massage therapies. Do you enjoy having your feet massaged? The Montage Premier by Omega Massage sports a reflexology massage for your feet. Sit back and let the Montage Premier apply gentle pressure to hold your feet. The arch airbag then stretch your foot by elongating the muscles and tendons. The heal airbag then stretches the area around your heal. You feet are the gateway to relaxing your whole body. Omega does a great job in delivering a terrific foot massage.

One of the nice elements of a day spa is the atmosphere. When you get a massage, the lights are low, there is soft music playing in the background. It is a very relaxing environment and then of course, there is the massage. 50 minutes of having the kinks, knots and soreness worked out of your body. Interestingly, massage chairs have made strides in this area as well. Some massage chairs come with an MP3 music player where you can load in your relaxing music. You can put on the headphones, activate the music-massage synchronization button and the chair will massage you to the rhythm of the music. It is so easy to drift off and let the massage chair melt away your worries.

I wish I could snap my fingers and my private massage therapists would appear. Until I figure out how to do that, massage chairs provide an effective and economic alternative. They certainly deliver a thorough and invigorating massage treatment. I can use it as much or as little as I like. I can pinpoint exactly where I need more treatment and I can keep it there to work out all the kinks. I put on the headphones, play some soft music and let my massage chair recliner take me to the heights of relaxation. - 15995
